After launching the mid-range Lucid 2 on Verizon Wireless earlier this month, a new report claims that LG will be hitting Verizon's low-end next. According to @evleaks on 9to5Google, Verizon will soon launch the LG Optimus L3 as a prepaid device that's named the "LG Optimus Zone." The device, which will reportedly feature the model number LGVS410PP, is expected to hit Big Red's shelves before the end of April.
As far as specs go, the Optimus Zone is expected to offer features that are similar to its international sibling. That includes a 3.2-inch 320x240 touchscreen, 800MHz processor, 3.15-megapixel camera and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. With a spec list like that, it seems likely that the Optimus Zone will feature a price tag that's pretty easy on the wallet. Clearly the Optimus Zone isn't a handset that'll appeal to everyone, but for Verizon customers that want a very small smartphone or one that'll cost them next to nothing, the Optimus Zone could fit the bill.
