When HTC made its new flagship One smartphone official in February, the company said that it planned to begin rolling out the device worldwide in March. More recently, though, reports of delays due to component shortages have caused many folks to wonder exactly when they'll be able to get their mitts on a One of their own. Today HTC clarified the situation a bit, saying that the One will start arriving in the U.K., Germany and Taiwan next week. Those of us in North America, along with more parts of Europe and most of the Asia-Pacific region, will see the HTC One "before the end of April." Here's HTC full statement on the matter:

“HTC has seen unprecedented demand for and interest in the new HTC One, and the care taken to design and build it is evidenced in early reviews. The new HTC One will roll out in the UK, Germany and Taiwan next week and across Europe, North America and most of Asia-Pacific before the end of April. We appreciate our customers’ patience, and believe that once they have the phone in their hands they will agree that it has been worth the wait.”

So far we know that the HTC One will be launching on AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile here in the U.S. However, none of those carriers have said exactly when they'll begin offering HTC's new handset or how much they'll be charging for it. Recent rumors have claimed that Verizon will also offer the One, but it's said that Big Red's launch will trail the releases of the other carriers by a month or two. Whichever carrier you're planning to get a One on, it looks like you'll have to wait until sometime next month at the earliest for the opportunity to actually buy HTC's new flagship. At least that gives us all more time to save our pennies, I suppose.
