T-Mobile is slated to officially launch its 4G LTE network very soon, but so far the only cities that the magenta carrier has said will be hopping onto its LTE airwaves are Las Vegas and Kansas City. The good news is that, thanks to a new report from OpenSignal, we've now got the names of six other cities in which T-Mobile appears to be testing out its LTE network. OpenSignal offers mobile apps that can be used to track network coverage, and the company says that many network engineers have taken advantage of its app. After examining the results of testing done with its app, OpenSignal found eight different areas across the U.S. in which T-Mobile LTE network testing is underway:

• Denver
• Kansas City
• Las Vegas
• New Orleans
• New York
• San Diego
• San Jose/Bay Area
• Seattle

OpenSignal also says that speed tests run on T-Mobile's LTE network yielded speeds of 25Mbps down and 8Mbps up, along with a latency of 40ms. That's not bad, though it's worth noting that T-Mo's LTE network isn't officially live yet, so those speeds could look a bit different once consumers start hopping onto the service. As for when that'll happen, T-Mobile recently said that its LTE network will be going live before the end of March, and it's expected that Las Vegas and Kansas City will be among the first cities with access to the service. It's not known when T-Mobile will officially flip the switch in the other six cities where its testing its LTE airwaves, but OpenSignal suggests that they could be included in T-Mobile's batch of launch cities.
