It's now been a week since BlackBerry took the wraps off of the BlackBerry Z10, and since then the new handset has launched in both Canada and the U.K. Today BlackBerry took the opportunity to update us on how well the Z10 has been performing at retail, and according to the company, the Z10 has been doing alright for itself.
Yesterday's Canadian debut for the Z10 was the best day of any BlackBerry launch for the country, the firm said, outdoing every other launch day by more than 50 percent. Meanwhile, BlackBerry reports that the Z10 has performed nearly three times better in its first week of availability than any other BlackBerry handset.
It's worth noting that BlackBerry didn't offer up specific Z10 sales figures for either Canada or the U.K., so it's still a mystery as to exactly how well the new BlackBerry 10 smartphone has been selling. Still, I'm sure that Thorsten Heins and Co. are pleased with the reception that the Z10 has gotten so far. The Z10 is expected to debut in the U.S. starting in mid-March, and it'll be interesting to see how well the handset does here, both because it's a new BlackBerry 10 device and also since that debut will be around two months after the Z10 was initially showed off. How many of you plan on checking out the Z10 once it finally hits U.S. shelves?
