Just as expected, the Motorola Electrify M's update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean has been officially announced on U.S. Cellular's website and should be making its way to users. The update will bring the Electrify M up to Android 4.1.2, and as with any other Jelly Bean bump, owners of this device can expect to gain Google Now, expandable notifications and some added smoothness thanks to Project Butter. The build number for the Electrify M's Jelly Bean update is 9.8.2Q-50_SLS-7.
Motorola revealed back in December 2012 that the Electrify M's Android 4.1 update would begin rolling out in the first quarter of 2013, and it's good to see the company stick to its word, especially since we're still in the first half of the quarter. In order to give your Electrify M its own taste of Jelly Bean, you'll need to connect to Wi-Fi and then head on into Settings > About Phone > System Updates on the device. Be sure to give us a shout in the comments below once you've updated!
