It looks like Motorola DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX owners are getting a little Christmas Eve surprise, as some owners of the two Verizon smartphones are receiving an update to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Screenshots shared by Droid-Life show that the update is a large one, clocking in at around 331MB, and it brings users up to software version 98.72.8. Neither Motorola nor Verizon have made any official announcements about any kind of update, so it's not clear what kind of changes are packed into this update (besides the usual Jelly Bean goodies, that is).
If you're rocking a DROID RAZR or DROID RAZR MAXX and want to start your week off with a Jelly Bean treat, you can try to manually pull this update by heading into Settings > About phone > System updates. Since we've yet to hear anything on this matter from Moto or Verizon, it's not clear whether this switch was accidentally flipped early or something else, but it's certainly worth a shot to try and grab this Android 4.1.2 update while it's available. Be sure to let us know in the comments below if you're able to snag a Jelly Bean treat!
