Near the end of last week, an LG Forum rep claimed that the Spectrum's update to Android 4.0 is getting close, and now more evidence of the new software's impending arrival has surfaced. It's been discovered that LG has uploaded a new version of the Spectrum's user guide to its website, complete with mentions of Ice Cream Sandwich and features specific to that version of Android. For example, the new manual touches on Face Unlock and a new ICS-flavored multitasking menu. The guide also talks about LG-exclusive features like the ability to customize icons and a "Clean View" that allows users to pinch their home screen to get a clear view of their wallpaper.
Outside of the claim from the aforementioned LG Forum rep that this update is near, there's been no word on when the Spectrum's bump up to Android 4.0 will finally hit. Still, with the rep's statements and now the appearance of this updated user guide, it certainly feels like the Spectrum's ICS update is getting close. At least you Spectrum owners now have this new manual to look through to help pass the time until the update starts rolling out. You can find the download link for the PDF guide at the LG link below.
