Less than a week after Samsung initially announced the Galaxy S III Developer Edition for Verizon, the device has made its way onto the Samsung website. The Galaxy S III Developer Edition listed on Samsung's site is a Pebble Blue model with 32GB of built-in storage, and the page says that the device is "Coming Soon!" but doesn't offer up any other availability details. Samsung has previously said that the Galaxy S III Developer Edition will be priced at $599.
The headline feature of the Galaxy S III Developer Edition for Verizon is its user-unlockable bootloader, which allows owners to easily tinker with the handset and do things like load up custom ROMs. Samsung has said that other versions Galaxy S III have a standard user-unlockable bootloaders, but the regular Verizon model offered in the carrier's stores doesn't have that feature. While the Galaxy S III Developer Edition's appeal is likely going to be somewhat limited due to its $599 no contract price tag, it's still nice to see the option being made available. We'll update those of you that are interested in this device with more availability information as we get it.
