Samsung recently got itself a new CEO named Kwon Oh-hyun and, in his inaugural speech to the company, the exec shed some light on what he'd like to see the company focus on going forward. During his talk, Kwon said that he'd like Samsung to work on its software, saying that "a particular focus must be given to serving new customer experience and value by strengthening soft capabilities in software, user experience, design, and solutions." Kwon also told Samsung employees that he'd like the company's core businesses to gain "an absolute lead" in both technology and global markets by growing their dominance in those areas.

When it introduced the Galaxy S III last month, Samsung also took the wraps off of a refreshed version of its TouchWiz Android overlay, which includes a number of tweaks and new features such as S Voice and S Beam. Unfortunately, Kwon didn't go into the details of exactly what Samsung software that he'd like to focus on. Now that he's made these comments, though, folks will likely be keeping an eye on TouchWiz and watching the changes that Samsung makes to it in the future. Exactly when we'll begin seeing any of those changes is a mystery, but it'll definitely be interesting to see what kinds of alterations the overlay sees in the near future.
