The HTC One X has received a fair share praise since its debut, and the device is currently resting atop the Expert's Choice Rankings list and in the number two spot of the People's Choice Rankings list in PhoneDog's Official Smartphone Rankings. Not everything has been copacetic for all One X users, though, as some owners have been experiencing Wi-Fi connectivity issues. Some users say that they're able to see an improvement with their Wi-Fi connectivity by squeezing the sides of their phone, which has lead lead them to believe that the issue is actually hardware-related. HTC's European arm today sent a statement to Android Central confirming the problem and explaining that it's identified a solution "that strengthens the area of the phone around the WiFi antennae connection points." HTC adds that it's taken the steps to implement the fix in its production process.
So what about current One X owners? For starters, HTC says that only the international Tegra 3-equipped One X seems to be affected by the Wi-Fi issue, so that's good news for owners of the AT&T-branded model. If you've got a Tegra 3 One X and you're having Wi-Fi problems, HTC has told Android Central that you should give HTC Customer Support a ring to try and figure out your situation. While it's a bummer to hear that some One X folk are having Wi-Fi connectivity problems with their shiny new phone, it's good to see HTC doing what it can to help those users solve the issue. Are any of you HTC One X owners out there having troubles with your Wi-Fi connections?
