Ending the HTC One X's four-week run atop the People's Choice Chart in PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™, the Samsung Galaxy S III (global) took the #1 spot. The fight for the top spot is heating up. Does the Galaxy S III (global) have what it takes to hold its spot at the top? And can it catch the HTC One X in the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart?
MT. PLEASANT, SC - PhoneDog Media’s Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) continues to set the standard for ranking the mobile market's finest handsets. There was an upset in the People's Choice Chart this week. The Samsung Galaxy S III (global) edged out the reigning champ HTC One X by a mere 24 votes for the #1 spot. In the Mobile Tech Expert's chart, however, the HTC One X remained at the top for the fourth consecutive week with 46 points.
Both the HTC One X and Nokia Lumia 900 dropped one spot in the People's Choice Chart. Now in second, the HTC One X beat out the Nokia Lumia 900 by a wide margin of 104 votes. The Samsung Galaxy S III also affected last week's #3 device, the Samsung Galaxy Note, dropping it to the sixth position. In the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, the iPhone 4S remained in the #2 spot with 34 points, only beating the Samsung Galaxy S III (global) by a single point. With only 20 points, the Samsung Galaxy Note fell to fourth place.
