Can you hear that, Sprint customers? That's the sound of your Galaxy Nexus coming one step closer to hitting Sprint shelves. The Sprint Galaxy Nexus has been spotted in the FCC under the model number SPH-L700, complete with CDMA/EV-DO connectivity as well as support for LTE band 25. The filing shows that this Galaxy Nexus is packing NFC, but that shouldn't come as much of a surprise considering that Sprint has touted the handset's Google Wallet compatibility.
Like other FCC filings, the Sprint Galaxy Nexus's group of documents doesn't have any information about exactly when the device is going to be launched. Sprint has said that it plans to begin rolling out LTE coverage by the middle of the year, but there's been no word yet on when we can expect to see the Galaxy Nexus make its retail debut. The good news that we can at least cross one more item off of the handset's pre-release checklist. So Sprint, feel like making this day even more exciting for your customers by sharing some Galaxy Nexus launch details? We're all ears.
