Verizon introduced several new phones at CES earlier this month, and with today's arrival of the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX, just about all have made their way onto shelves. The exception is the DROID 4, which is still without an official release date or price. Earlier this month a Verizon minimum advertised price (MAP) list suggested that the answer to the latter half of the D4's launch/price mystery would be a $249.99, but now a new MAP has surfaced with a lower price tag attached to Motorola's 4G LTE slider. As you can see above, the DROID 4 features a MAP of $199.99 with a two-year contract. Other price changes include the black and white 32GB DROID RAZR moving to $279.99 and the DROID Bionic falling to $149.99. Those prices are indeed in effect right now on Verizon's website.

We'll have to wait for Verizon and Motorola to come forward with the DROID 4's availability details before we know if this $200 price tag holds true, but if it does, the handset could be pretty tough to resist. After all, the only 4G handset with a physical keyboard currently offered by Verizon is the Samsung Stratosphere, so the D4 was already poised to become the LTE handset to have for QWERTY enthusiasts.
