Well, so much for that. After more leaked documents than I care to count pointed to a December 9th launch for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus, now reports are beginning to emerge that that may not be the date after all. Our pals at DroidDog just received the image you see above, which shows the Galaxy Nexus page on Verizon's Equipment Guide. Last night the page leaked out and revealed that the GalNex was set to "launch to all channels on December 9," but now that line has been replaced with one that simply reads "Launch date is coming soon." Below is a full screenshot of the Equipment Guide from the folks at Droid-Life that shows the same information. Both Droid-Life and Android Central are also reporting that they've received several tips corroborating the news that the date's changed.
Obviously this news is kind of a bummer, especially because we were seemingly just a couple of days out from finally putting an end to the pre-release saga of the Verizon Galaxy Nexus. Of course, considering how many times we've seen the LTE GalNex's rumored launch date change over the past month or so, it's not terribly surprising to see another "delay" pop up. We've heard reports that both Galaxy Nexus marketing materials and the phones themselves are already en route to stores this week, so here's to hoping the wait doesn't go on much longer.
