T-Mobile customers, you may want to clear you schedule for the evening of December 14th, because the Magenta carrier just sent out invites to an event that it's hosting with Nokia a week from today. The invite teases that the two companies "have something exciting in the works," but doesn't go any further into detailing exactly what the focus of the gathering may be.
So what might T-Mobile and Nokia have up their sleeves? The first thing that jumps to mind is Windows Phone, which is no doubt thanks at least in part to the fact that the invite is made up of square tiles that are similar to the tiles found on Windows Phone devices. It's been rumored that the Nokia Lumia 710 may be T-Mobile-bound, so that's certainly one possibility. The good news is that we're just one measly week away from the big shindig, meaning that we won't be stuck waiting on the edge of our seats for long.
UPDATE: Just wanted to point out that in an FCC filing for an AWS-version of the Lumia 710, the manual for the device shows it with T-Mobile branding, plain as day. We've included one shot showing the T-Mo logo on the Lumia 710 below, but you can check it out for yourself in the FCC filing right here. This still isn't a guarantee that we'll see a Lumia 710 next week, but the odds are certainly getting better.
