Samsung prematurely outed the Illusion for Verizon on its Flickr page way back in September, offering up a sneak peek at the entry-level Android handset and confirming the device's name. Fast forward a little over two months and Verizon has finally made the Illusion officially official. The Samsung Illusion will be available from Verizon's website starting tomorrow (in stores this January) for $79.99 with a two-year contract. However, customers that can contain their excitement for the Illusion for one more day will be able to snag it for the low price of free, as Verizon has said that the device will have its price knocked down to $0.00 from November 24th through the 28th as part of an online promotion. So yeah, the Samsung Illusion definitely slots in to the "entry-level" tier of Verizon's Android lineup. That's not a bad thing, though, as the Illusion looks like a pretty decent option for folks looking to join the Android camp on the cheap, especially if you can pick it up for free on contract later this week. The Illusion will be available for free with a new two-year customer agreement between Thursday, Nov. 24 and Monday, Nov. 28 as an online promotion.
