Just over a week ago Samsung began rolling out an update to Android 3.2 to the Galaxy Tab 10.1. There was just one problem: the new software messed up the Tab 10.1's Wi-Fi connectivity for many, which is kind of an important feature on a Wi-Fi-only device. Samsung today announced that it's begun rolling out the update again, but this time it (hopefully) won't have an adverse effect on your Tab 10.1's ability to connect to Wi-Fi. The new software is available as an over the air download for folks that made the wise decision to avoid last week's broken update. Folks that didn't get word about the problem in time and did end up installing the buggy software will have to download and install the update using Samsung's Kies desktop app. The word straight from Sammy:
"Earlier this morning, Samsung began releasing an over the air software update allowing Galaxy 10.1 users to upgrade to Android 3.2 while also resolving a Wi-Fi connectivity issues some Galaxy 10.1 users experienced following a previous software update. For Galaxy 10.1 users who are experiencing Wi-Fi connectivity issues and are unable to reconnect, the new software update may be downloaded and installed via Samsung's Kies desktop app."
Although it's kind of a bummer that some Galaxy Tab 10.1 owners installed the previous update and ultimately lost their Wi-Fi connectivity, it's good to see Samsung reacting to the problem and rolling out an improved version of the software a week later.
