Last night a report emerged claiming that HP is considering selling off webOS for "hundreds of millions of dollars" and that there have been a number of interested parties. That information is still unconfirmed at this point, but according to sources speaking with The Verge, HP is planning to hold an all-hands meeting tonight at which the fate of webOS may finally be revealed. The call will reportedly be taking place at around 4:30 PM PT, but no other details are known.
There have been a several companies rumored to be in talks with HP about a webOS deal, including Oracle, Amazon, and Samsung. Unfortunately, none of those rumors have bore fruit, with Samsung's CEO going so far as to say that it'd "never" pursue a webOS deal with HP. It's still not clear precisely what is going to happen to webOS, but here's to hoping that we do finally find out tonight. Any last-minute predictions?
