Despite the fact that neither Google nor Samsung came out and said which carrier(s) would be offering the Galaxy Nexus here in the U.S., but the rumor mill has been steadfast in insisting that Verizon will be at least one of the homes for the new handset. We caught a glimpse of evidence to support that claim in Google's official Galaxy Nexus intro video last night, and now a couple more bits of info have emerged to further support the Galaxy Nexus-on-Verizon theory. The first bit of proof comes from Google employee Romain Guy's Google+ account. Guy posted a few shots of the Galaxy Nexus on a mount used to show off the GalNex's camera, and as you can see in the photo above, there's a small 4G LTE logo below the camera on the backside of the phone. Yep, that's a Verizon 4G LTE logo.

If that's not enough evidence for you, though, peep the screenshot down below. It seems that when asked which U.S. carriers would be offering the Galaxy Nexus, a Samsung employee responded by saying that "Verizon will be offering the Galaxy Nexus with the initial release." What about other carriers? They "may support this device in the near future," says the Samsung worker.

So there you have it. Though a Verizon Galaxy Nexus isn't quite officially official, I'd say it's pretty darn close. There's still no word on pricing or launch details just yet, but it's rumored that the GalNex could be released to the masses as soon as November 10th. We'll let you know more when we do. UPDATE: The aforementioned Samsung representative has commented on the same Facebook status, retracting the statement about Verizon and the Galaxy Nexus. The new response is as follows: "My mistake, no U.S. carrier has been determined yet. Stay tuned for updates."
