When Microsoft began rolling out the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update to devices the world over, it said that the push would be done gradually so that the company could monitor the process and catch any unexpected bugs that may pop up. Earlier this month Microsoft announced that it was pushing the update to 50 percent of handsets, and today the company has said that since things have been going smoothly, it's opening the software spigot and making Mango available to "nearly everyone." Checking Microsoft's "Where's my phone update?" page shows that most U.S. Windows Phone 7 devices have begun getting Mango; the two exceptions are the Samsung Focus 1.4 and the AT&T Dell Venue Pro, the former of which is in testing and the latter is in planning.

We've seen a couple of other mobile platforms have updates go awry recently, so it's good to see Windows Phone and its users go through the Mango update process in about three weeks without any major hiccups.
