Motorola DROID 3 owners may be feeling a tad left out now that both the DROID 2 and DROID 2 Global have recently gotten some update love, but fear not, D3-ers! Your own update is on its way. The folks over at Droid-Life have gotten word that the DROID 3 is slated to get an update sometime this month and that the soak test for said update is slated to kick off shortly. If that is the case, we could see the update roll out to end users within the next week or so.

So what kinds of goodies can will be packed into this update? Sadly, there's no word yet on what exactly the new software's going to contain, but hey, any kind of update is usually good news. You know, as long as it doesn't contain some sort of devastating bug or something along those lines. More on the D3 update as we get it.
