The LG Revolution may only be a hair over three months old at this point, but that hasn't stopped Verizon from prepping what's very likely its successor for launch. An LG device with the model number VS920 just passed through the FCC and not only does it include the usual Verizon CDMA/EV-DO bands, it's also packing GSM/HSPA and LTE band 13. There's no mention of the name "Revolution 2" in the FCC filing, but adding all of that information up gives you a device that's most likely the follow-up to the Revolution, which features the model number VS910.
There's not a lot of information available about the Revolution 2 right now besides a rumored October 20th launch date, but one previous report did claim that the handset would feature a 4.5-inch qHD display and an "incredibly thin" body. It's not clear yet if those specs are legit or not, but considering that the original Revolution was known for being a tad on the chunky side, it wouldn't surprise me if LG worked to make its successor more svelte. Stay tuned.
