The LG Thrill 4G has had it launch "delayed" several times in the past month or so, but all of you AT&T customers itching for the glasses-free 3D handset finally have a date to circle on your calendars. AT&T just announced that the Thrill 4G will be released on September 4th, aka this Sunday. Pricing will be set at $99.99 with a two-year contract.
For those that'd like a spec refresher, the LG Thrill 4G is packing a 4.3-inch 800x480 glasses-free 3D display, dual-core 1GHz processor, a pair of 5-megapixel cameras, 720p 3D video capture, 1080p 2D video recording, 8GB storage, 8GB microSD card preinstalled, HDMI out, support for AT&T 4G (HSPA+, not LTE), and Android 2.2 running beneath LG's custom UI. Although the 3D aspect of the Thrill 4G may not appeal to everyone out there, AT&T's decision to price it at just $100 on-contract makes the Thrill a decent option for folks in the market for a new smartphone even if it's kept in 2D mode only. So now that we finally know when the Thrill 4G is launching, is anyone thinking about pulling the trigger on one later this week?
