T-Mobile has long been the only carrier of the big four without an in-home signal-boosting device like AT&T's 3G MicroCell or Sprint's Airave, but it looks like that may finally be changing next month. According to an image sent to our friends at TmoNews, T-Mobile is planning a nationwide launch of its own Signal Booster on Wednesday, September 7th, in both its retail stores and branded locations. The device is meant to boost the T-Mobile 3G/4G signal within a home.

T-Mobile's Signal Booster will be available to customers that fit certain criteria for no charge, although it's worth mentioning that customers must sign a new two-year contract on the line that the Booster is associated with and that the device must be returned to T-Mobile once a customer's period of service is over. So what kind of criteria must you meet in order to get a Signal Booster? As per the screenshot below:

• Credit class specifications
• Postpaid account in good standing
• BAN MRC of $65
• Single family residence (no apartments or condos)
• Receive one bar of 3G service anywhere in the house
• Must own a 3G or 4G device
• Acknowledgement of potential 911 risk
• Acknowledgement that the Booster is T-Mobile property and that you may be charged up to $500 if you damage the device or don't return it
• Two-year contract agreement

Obviously this is all still a rumor until T-Mobile comes forward and makes it all official, but still, it's good to see that Magenta may finally be getting around to releasing a device to help its customers get a better cell signal in their homes. Those users with Wi-Fi Calling-enabled handsets may not feel the need for a Signal Booster, but folks without that feature may want to check out the Signal Booster once it's announced.
