It's a good time to be an Android QWERTY lover on AT&T. After photos of an alleged AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II variant with a landscape sliding keyboard emerged, today we're getting our first glimpse at the Sharp FX Plus. The original Sharp FX was a messaging phone that hit AT&T just under a year ago, but the FX Plus makes the jump into the wild world of smartphones thanks to the inclusion of Android 2.2. Other details on the handset are light, but it is said to include a 3.2-inch display and Audience's earSmart noise cancellation tech.
So when might this thing be coming to store shelves? Unfortunately, there's no word yet on availability, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the FX Plus carry a fairly affordable price whenever it does launch. Certainly the fact that it's going to come preloaded with Froyo is a bit of a disappointment, but the good news is that an update to Gingerbread should be along at some point in the future.
