Check it out, folks. What you're looking at up above is said to be an early version of DROID Does page dedicated to Motorola's DROID Bionic that's reportedly going live the first week of August. And what is that down in the lower right corner? Why that's a price. According to this leaked Bionic webpage, Verizon's next 4G LTE handset will cost $299.99 with a two-year contract. The page also gives up the Bionic's specs, but they're said to be the same as the ones in the past. That means you're looking at a 4.3-inch 540x960 Pentile qHD display, 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor, 8-megapixel camera, VGA front-facing camera, 512MB RAM, and Motorola Webtop functionality.
So there you have it. Verizon's currently offering the Samsung DROID Charge for $299.99 on-contract, so this price point isn't a first for Big Red, but that doesn't mean it still won't make your wallet sting just a little bit at the register. As for a launch date for the Bionic, August 4th is the rumored day that's currently being kicked around. We'll let you know more when we do, so stay tuned.
UPDATE: As has been pointed out, many feel that the image above has been Photoshopped. It's a possibility, although it's also been mentioned that this is an early version of the page, so that could account for some of the errors like the misaligned typography. Regardless, we wouldn't be at all shocked if the Bionic does end up getting priced at $299.99 when it arrives.
