Verizon's tiered data plans finally went into effect yesterday, which we knew was coming but is still kind of a bummer. For those of you that managed to snag an unlimited data plan before the change went down, though, things just keep getting better. Verizon has confirmed that those of us with a 3G-only device can move up to a 4G handset and not only keep our unlimited data, but will also be able to sign up for the $30 unlimited mobile hotspot feature.
So there you have it. If you've already got unlimited 3G data, you'll be able to make the move to 4G with your plan intact. Certainly makes the prospect of moving up to an LTE device like the DROID Bionic more exciting, no?
