Last night we reported on a leaked Verizon document that confirmed the specs of the Motorola DROID 3, but there was still no word on exactly when the newest DROID family member would actually be launching. That changes tonight, though, as the folks over at Droid-Life have snagged a new doc showing that the DROID 3 will be available via direct fulfillment on July 7th (orders from phone, web can begin) with a full-scale launch taking place on July 14th. There's still no word on how much the D3 is going to cost, but if I were a betting man I'd say that $199.99 with a two-year contract is the likeliest price.
Although a lot of folks are bummed out by the fact that the DROID 3 doesn't pack 4G LTE connectivity, it still looks like a spiffy little device that should please those of us that can't live without a physical keyboard. Now that we know that the D3 is coming on the next week, we should be hearing an official announcement from Verizon soon. Stay tuned.
