Remember how Verizon extended its free 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot promotion through July 6th? It doesn't look like they'll be extending the offer once again, meaning we'll actually have to begin paying for the feature once July 7th rolls around. The question is, how much will customers with a grandfathered unlimited 4G data plan have to pay for hotspot access? According to a report from Droid-Life, the answer is $30 per month. Interestingly, that $30 will allegedly include unlimited tethering data, unlike the $20 option for tiered users that'll grant 2GB of hotspot data every month.
If true, this could be great news for customers with a Verizon 4G LTE device. While $60 per month for data/tethering may sound like a bit much, it's not a bad deal considering that you get unlimited data on your phone and can use Mobile Hotspot to your heart's content. Any LTE power users out there considering dropping the extra $30 every month for unlimited tethering once the 7th rolls around?
