The Motorola DROID 3 may not be official just yet, but that hasn't stopped the device from starring in a number of leaked images and videos. Today the next member of the DROID family is back in the news thanks to an appearance on the Gameloft website. The company has added the "Motorola XT862 Droid 3" to its list of compatible devices which, while certainly not a sure sign that the device's launch is around the corner, certainly seems to suggest that it is coming soon. Speaking of the DROID 3 launch, the folks at Droid-Life have heard from "close friends" that Verizon is currently looking at July 7th as the day that the D3 will be made official.
This isn't the first time we've heard the rumor mill claim that the DROID 3 will be making its grand debut in the month of July, and the appearance of the device in both Verizon and Best Buy's systems definitely adds credence to the claims that the D3 is coming sometime soon. The question is, will you be picking up the DROID 3 whenever it does arrive or is the rumored lack of 4G LTE a deal breaker?
