Last week U.S. Cellular proclaimed that it would be launching seven new Android phones during the remainder of 2011, with two of those handsets coming from the folks at HTC. U.S. Cellular didn't elaborate on exactly which HTC Android phones it'd be launching, but the two devices may have just been outed by an image sent to Android Central. As you can see up above, both the HTC Desire II, aka Desire S, and the Wildfire S have made their way into U.S. Cellular's inventory system.
Considering that U.S. Cellular currently offers the original HTC Desire, it's not a huge shock to learn that the Desire II could also be making its way to USCC's shelves. Still, it's nice to see both it and the Wildfire S appear in the carrier's inventory and help to flesh out both the low-end and high-end of U.S. Cellular's Android lineup. There's no word on exactly when U.S. Cellular could launch the Desire II and Wildfire S, but U.S. Cellular has said that it expects to launch two new HTC Android handsets sometime this fall, so that's something to keep in mind. For those of you interested in learning more about the Desire II/S and Wildfire S, our hands-on videos of both devices are embedded below. Check 'em out!
