It's just been a Verizon kind of day, hasn't it? After confirmation that one-year contracts will soon be going the way of the Dodo as well as news of a 16GB XOOM and upcoming Android release dates, a new leak has shown that Big Red's cooking up something big for all of its pre-paid customers. According to a document sent over the Droid-Life, Verizon is planning to offer a new "Unleashed" pre-paid plan that will offer unlimited talk, text, and mobile web (likely for feature phones), all for only $50 per month. Smartphone users interested in the plan will still need to fork over $30/month for data.
This new Unleashed plan is pretty attractive and could be an incentive for a lot of folks to go pre-paid once April 17th rolls around and Verizon stops offering one-year contracts. There's no word on exactly when, or if, this new plan will be made available to us common folk, but we'll be sure to let you know when more info is available. How does a $50 unlimited pre-paid ($80 for unlimited smartphone data) sound to all of you?
