Last we heard, Virgin Mobile's Samsung Intercept was set to receive an update to Android 2.2 "about" March 25th. That may have been a couple of weeks ago, but it appears that the Intercept's Froyo update is finally almost here. Several owners of the device have reported receiving a text message proclaiming that "The Froyo Update for the Virgin Mobile Samsung Intercept is finally coming out on Monday the 11th," with a link that leads to this page. The site explains that Intercept users will be getting notification of an update sometime in the next few weeks and that, once the 5-15 minute upgrade process is complete, Froyo and all of the following enhancements will be installed:
The Virgin Mobile's Intercept update may be coming a few months later than the Sprint variations, but the good news is that it's finally almost here.
