Lately it seems that we can't go more than a couple of days without hearing more HTC Merge news, and today we've got another chapter to add to the device's story. Although we've seen a ton of leaks showing the Merge sporting Verizon-branding, Big Red has never come out and actually said that they'd be offering HTC's slider. As you can see up above, though, the Merge is sitting on the text alerts page of Verizon's website, acting like its appearance there is no big deal.
So is this evidence that Verizon will indeed offer the Merge to its customers? Tough to say. It certainly seems like they intended to at one time or another, but considering that the Big Red-branded Merge has been leaking since late last year and the device was noticeably absent on a recently-leaked Verizon roadmap, it's entirely possible that we may never actually get a chance to pick up a Merge to call our own. Do any of you care about the Merge anymore or have you moved on to lusting after a different smartphone?
