Yesterday Apple released its newest entry in the tablet game, the iPad 2, ending months of hype and speculation surrounding the device. Like the iPhone 4 last year, though, the launch hasn't gone off without a hitch. Some iPad 2 owners have noticed some yellowing on the displays of their new tablet. Luckily, it's expected that that issue will eventually resolve itself, much like it did with the iPhone 4 last year.
A bigger problem, though, is that some users have noticed light leakage around the edges of the iPad's screen, which is most noticeable when a dark image is being displayed. The amount of light bleeding seems to vary from device to device, and not every iPad 2 is suffering from the issue, but owners that have encountered it have been able to alleviate the problem by lowering the display's brightness. While the light leakage may not be noticeable during a lot of use, it could be a big problem for folks that plan to watch a lot of video or anything else that involves a dark image. There's been no statement from Apple on the matter just yet, but any iPad 2 owners that are experiencing the issue could likely return their device. Of course, Apple's site says that iPad 2 orders placed now won't ship for another 3-4 weeks, so if you do want to return a defective iPad, you may not be able to get a new one in return.
