The WiFi-only model of the Motorola XOOM has been the star of a couple of leaks in the past couple of weeks, suggesting that we could finally see the device arrive at the end of this month or early the next. Thanks to a leaked Staples ad sent over to Droid-Life, we may finally have a date to circle on our calendars: March 27th. When the XOOM does arrive on Staples' shelves, it looks like we'll be paying $599.98 for the pleasure of picking up the first Honeycomb-powered tablet.
We don't know just yet how many 3G-enabled XOOMs that Verizon and Motorola have been able to move since launch, but I'd be willing to be that more than a few folks have been holding off on a purchase until the WiFi-only model is available. Interestingly, if this March 27th date holds true, it looks like the WiFi-only XOOM will beat the WiFi-only Galaxy Tab to market, which I'm sure won't help sales of Sammy's tablet (not that they're probably going to be huge in the first place). So, how many of you are patiently waiting for a WiFi-only flavor of the XOOM?
