The Palm Pre 2 is available right now to all of us GSM users here in the U.S., but anyone that prefers a little CDMA flavoring with webOS is still out of luck. When the Pre 2 was made official, Palm said that Verizon's model was going to launch "in the coming months," and now an anonymous tipster has told PreCentral that the Pre 2 will be coming "soon." That's not all, though, as the source believes that the Pixi 2 will be joining its webOS brethren on Verizon at the same time.
Last month, some webOS codenames leaked, and once of those names was "Broadway," the device that many believe will end up as the Pixi 2 when it comes to market. No one is quite sure what the other codenames could turn out to be, but considering how long the OG Pixi has been on the market, I hope that the Pixi 2 is indeed the Broadway and that it is coming soon. As for the Pre 2, I'm surprised that Verizon didn't push out the handset in time for Black Friday and all of the shoppers that that day brings. A leaked Verizon doc has said that the Pre 2 is launching in Q4 2010 and, for Palm's sake, I hope that that holds true.
