Verizon sure likes their comparison charts, with one touting the Continuum's specs two days ago and the one leaked today that contains info on both the Motorola CITRUS and the LG Vortex. There's not a lot differentiating the two handsets, as both are "affordable," tout nearly identical displays (the CITRUS has a 3 inch screen, the Vortex's is 3.2 inches, but both have a 320x240 resolution), and have nearly identical cameras (CITRUS: 3 megapixel, Vortex: 3.2 megapixel). So what's the biggest differentiator between the two handsets? The Vortex is running Android 2.2 out of the box, while the CITRUS is relegated to 2.1. Another key difference is that while both have some sort of OS skin/overlay, the Vortex's looks a bit closer to vanilla Android than the interface found on the CITRUS.
Both the Vortex and the CITRUS look like decent additions to Verizon's ever-increasing Android lineup (although Verizon apparently prefers that CITRUS), and they could make for good, low-cost handsets for the first-time smartphone buyer. If I had to choose, I would probably take the Vortex over the CITRUS, mainly due to the OS differences between the two. The Vortex already is running the latest version of Android (for now, anyway) and seems closer to stock Android than the CITRUS. Plus, we've seen that it can take some time to get the latest version of Android to devices running a skin on top of the OS.
