If you're a Sprint customer and in the market for another phone, the LG Optimus S will be available on November 7, which is this coming Sunday. The phone will be available in a charcoal color Sunday and in a purple version as of November 21. The price of the device is $49.99 with a two-year contract and a $100 mail-in rebate.
The Optimus S (I keep wanting to type Prime instead of S) is an entry-level smartphone device and should do just fine for someone looking to get an Android device and not break the bank. One of the bigger benefits of this device is that its shipping with Android 2.2. That means no waiting on an official update to the most current OS.
