If Sprint's latest Android offerings didn't pique your interest, perhaps the handset above will do the trick. What you're looking at is the HTC Knight which, judging by the branding in the upper right corner, is headed for Sprint. There's not much known about the Knight just yet, but we do know that it's sporting a 3.7-inch display and capacitive touch keys similar to those found on the EVO. After perusing the XML file that came along with the render, we know that this is a slider of some sort since users are warned not to "slide screen in/out" during activation.
The Knight definitely looks like a slick device so far, bringing the handsome looks of the EVO down to a smaller form factor for those of us that don't need a gigantic 4.3-inch display. What could make or break the Knight for a lot of us is just what the slider is hiding. Many assume that it's a QWERTY keyboard slider, but remember that HTC is also making the Surround for AT&T, a device with a sliding speaker. We'll just have to wait for more leaks to come along to learn more about the Knight. Judging by how often new Android handsets do leak, though, I imagine more information will come out sooner rather than later.
UPDATE: Following a leak of the actual device, we've now got a little more information about the Knight for you. As you can see in the image below, a case for the handset has appeared in a Sprint document with a release date of January 6th. An accessory launch date isn't always the best way to gauge a product's launch information but, as Boy Genius Report points out, Jan. 6th is the first day of CES 2011, making that date look pretty much like a lock. Additionally, a source has told BGR that there's a "good chance" that the Knight will be called the HTC Speedy when it finally lands.
