RIM may be dragging their feet a bit when it comes to actually announcing the BlackBerry Bold 9780, but that's where leaks come in handy. Our good friends at TmoNews have received a document (similar to the one that revealed the Samsung Galaxy Tab release date) stating that the 9780 will be arriving on T-Mobile on November 17th. Unfortunately, there's still no word on exactly how much everyone's favorite magenta carrier will charge for the privilege of owning the 9780, but it's probably a sure bet that it won't be over $200. As a quick refresher, the Bold 9780 will sport a 624 MHz processor, 2.44-inch 480x360 display, 512 MB of RAM, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, 3G, UMA, and, most importantly, the shiny new BlackBerry 6 OS.
The BlackBerry Bold 9780 may be more of an incremental upgrade to the 9700 rather than a brand new handset, but with its slick new black bezel and the BB 6 OS, the 9780 seems like a great device for those in the market for a new smartphone. Since the 9700 will be upgraded to BB 6 eventually, though, those of you that already own that handset shouldn't feel too left out. There's still no word on when AT&T customers will be able to nab their own 9780, but I think it's safe to assume that it'll land somewhere around Nov. 17th. At least you guys have the Torch 9800 to keep you warm until then. So, how many of you T-Mobile customers are going to pick up a Bold 9780 and experience BlackBerry 6?
