The HTC Lexikon/Merge is one of the most leaked devices in recent memory, posing for photo shoots and getting benchmarked left and right. Despite all of the leaks, the official name of the device never came to the light. Thanks to a newly leaked Verizon document, though, it looks like Big Red and HTC have decided on the name Merge. The "Global Smartphone Line Up" sheet says that the Merge will be landing in Q4 of this year (we've heard November 11th). The Merge won't be the only global Android device landing in Q4, though, as the doc also says that the DROID Pro, DROID 2 Global, and the LG enV Pro will also be arriving in the newly-jam-packed quarter.
Verizon has been one of the best carriers to go to for an Android device, and it doesn't look like that'll be changing any time soon. Since we've already learned just about everything there is to know about the Merge and DROID Pro, I'm interested in seeing what the DROID 2 Global and enV Pro are all about. We've already seen the DROID 2 Global briefly appear on Motorola's site and photographed in the wild. Considering that it recently appeared in Verizon's training systems, I'd say a launch isn't too far out. The LG enV Pro has basically been a no-show up until now, which is pretty strange considering it's rumored to be launching next month. Let's all cross our fingers and hope that we'll get some leaked photos and specs soon. Prospective Verizon Android owners, your decision is getting pretty tough.
