The other day we saw a leaked T-Mobile document touting a new Android handset called the LG Optimus that would include WiFi calling, an Android first.  Today we've got even better news for you UMA fanatics out there: WiFi calling will be heading to even more T-Mobile Android phones in the future.  The Magenta-obsessed folks at TmoNews have obtained some T-Mobile employee training screens that show that WiFi calling will be included with "new upcoming Android devices," like the G2.  Before you get too excited, though, there are a couple of caveats to know about:  you won't be able to handoff a WiFi call to a mobile network, and the WiFi calling feature won't be available to all Android handsets. Also, you impending G2 owners shouldn't be disappointed if your new handset doesn't come with WiFi calling available right out of the box, as there's no indication that the feature will be available right at launch.

While it's pretty disappointing that not all Android phones will have the ability to make calls over WiFi, at least the feature is finally making its way to the platform.  I'm glad to see that WiFi calling still exists on T-Mobile, especially in this age of carriers relying on femtocells to extend their network where a dead spot exists.  How many of you out there still make use of UMA and WiFi calling on T-Mobile?
