Well, folks, it looks like the DROID Incredible's Android 2.2 update rumor saga is coming to an end. Yesterday we saw a photo of a Verizon screen stating that the Incredible's Froyo upgrade would begin rolling out today, and now Big Red has gone ahead and confirmed it themselves via Twitter. As a refresher, the update includes Flash 10.1, 720p video capture, mobile hotspot capabilities, and lots of other goodies. Just remember that these types of updates can take some time to hit everyone, so don't fret if you don't get the notification today.
As much fun as it was seeing a new update rumor for the Incredible every week, I'm glad to see owners finally get their own taste of Froyo. The device is still in stock on Verizon's website and even comes preloaded with Android 2.2, so if you've been on the fence about getting a new Android handset, now seems as good a time as any to grab an Incredible. It may have been released four months ago, but the DInc is still one of the best phones you can buy on Verizon. Current Incredible owners, let us know when you get the Android 2.2 update, won't you?
