When it comes to 4G in the U.S., the current selection is fairly limited. That could change very soon, however, as a Samsung executive has revealed that MetroPCS could be launching their new LTE network as soon as next month. Set to be available in Dallas and Las Vegas initially, MetroPCS will be teaming up with Samsung to offer the LTE-capable Craft, likely at the same time that the 4G service is lit up. MetroPCS has been quiet on the whole situation so far, but I'm sure that they'd like to get their new network up and running as soon as possible.
We know that MetroPCS is planning to flip the switch on their LTE network some time this year, but the carrier hasn't given any concrete information on pricing or information. September is only a few days away, so if what the Samsung employee said is true, we should be hearing more info pretty soon. Sure, MetroPCS may not be the biggest carrier in the country, but being the first to offer an LTE network to the public will definitely earn them some attention.
