We've already seen the AT&T and T-Mobile variants of Samsung's Galaxy S land at their respective carriers (and get a simple unlock method), and Sprint's Epic 4G is less than a week away. Verizon has been pretty quiet about their Galaxy S model, the Fascinate, but recent news shows that it may be launching soon. An anonymous tipster speaking with Phandroid has said that the Fascinate has began trickling into Verizon's warehouses, although the device is not yet in the carrier's equipment guide. Interestingly, Boy Genius Report points out that the MTV Video Music Awards, which airs September 12th, is sponsored by the "Samsung Fascinate a Galaxy S phone."
A rumor that we posted a little over a week ago claimed that the Fascinate would be arriving in October, but this news makes it sound like it could hit even earlier than that. I would be surprised to see Samsung and Verizon sponsor the MTV VMAs under the Fascinate name without having a device in stores for customers to check out, so maybe we'll be seeing Fascinate land as early as mid-September?
