Hot on the heels of the news that the Samsung Fascinate has begun arriving in Verizon's warehouses, we've now got a potential release date for Big Red's Galaxy S variant. The folks at Android Central have received a photo of a Verizon screen stating that the device will begin "shipping around 9/6 based on a 9/9 launch." It's referring to employees being able to pre-order the handset, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Fascinate launch on or near that same date rather than the October launch date we've heard in the past. A different tipster that Android Guys has described as "solid" has also mentioned a Sept. 9th release for the Fascinate.
In the post earlier today, it was noted that MTV's Video Music Awards on September 12th is being sponsored by "Samsung Fascinate a Galaxy S phone." This definitely adds credibility to the September 9th rumors, as Verizon and Samsung would probably want customers to be able to handle and purchase the device. Add in the fact that at that point Verizon will be the only one of the big four carriers without a Galaxy S handset available to its customers, and the rumors begin to look even more likely.
