Would be jailbreakers of the iOS world beware, because Apple has just released iOS 4.0.2 for the iPhone and 3.2.2 for the iPad to the world. The entire purpose of the new builds seems to be to close the PDF exploit that the JailbreakMe hack uses to install Cydia and other unauthorized apps onto your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. If you're more concerned about your device's security than downloading jailbroken apps, head to iTunes now and install the update. Otherwise, you should probably steer clear for the time being.
Although it probably took a little longer than most of us expected, it's good to see Apple responding to the PDF hole found in iOS 4.0/4.0.1. It's pretty disappointing, though, that Apple has yet to address the proximity sensor issues that iPhone 4 owners have been having with their new devices. Hopefully we'll see the fix in iOS 4.1, which just had its third beta release a week ago. Those of you that have downloaded iOS 4.0.2 or 3.2.2, have you found anything new besides the PDF bug fix?
