Remember the other day when we saw an FCC filing for a Motorola device called the "Sage" that appeared to be destined for AT&T? The device has reportedly been spotted in the wild hanging out with the (in)famous Mr. Blurrycam. It looks like the Sage will be a low- to mid-range phone like its Charm/Basil brethren. Unlike the Charm, however, the device in the photo above is a more standard candybar form factor. It's obvious that the Sage is rocking MOTOBLUR beneath Android 2.1, and the screen size appears to be around 3.1 inches. The device in the photo is also reportedly packing a physical QWERTY, which could be huge for Android lovers on AT&T.
It's hard to say for sure whether or not the handset seen in the photo above will end up being the Motorola Sage or not. If it is the Sage, however, AT&T potentially has a a big hit on their hands. Android phones with a physical QWERTY are still hard to come by, and a QWERTY device with a smaller screen could definitely appeal to texting-addicted teens and those of us that prefer our Android with an actual keyboard. Hopefully some more specs and better photos will be along shortly. Would any of you pick up the Sage?
