The Nokia-flavored version of MeeGo has leaked in the form of a one-and-a-half minute video, and it looks like the phone manufacturer may have a winner on their hands. The video shows off starting up, multitasking, the Ovi Store, getting connected, and the music player, and they all look great. The multitasking is reminiscent of Palm's webOS, which I'm sure no one will complain about. So, Nokia, when can we expect to start seeing devices running this OS?
I haven't been a huge fan of the Symbian OS that Nokia has used on their devices in the past, but this version of MeeGo is something I can definitely get behind. It would be nice to see a longer video showing off more portions of the UI, but considering we have no idea how far off this OS is from release, it'll do for now. In order to help Nokia regain some marketshare, especially in the U.S., I just hope that they are able to push this OS out sooner rather than later.
